Journey into Learning is an instructor's manual that takes the Creatures of Amalthea online curriculum and expands upon the concepts therein. While the online program focuses on art and drawing skills, Journey Into Learning introduces a variety of activities and lesson ideas that encompass multiple subject areas. This manual may be used in conjunction with the online Creatures of Amalthea program, or as a stand alone teaching tool (122 pages).
Imagination International, Inc. knows the value of education and wants to be a part of the continued learning of the nation’s youth. This program takes our high school and college level creature design curriculum and adapts it for an upper elementary and middle school level workshop. The curriculum includes approximately 15 hours of student learning, condensed into a one-week art camp format.
A Week of Creatures includes step-by-step lesson plans, age appropriate objectives matching the National Education Standards for Major Subject Areas, and many of the required resources necessary to implement this curriculum. Please feel free to make copies of the worksheets in the student resource section for use in your art camp or workshop program (47 pages).
